Save the date! Haultain and First Street Festival 2012 will be Sunday, September 9th.

Walk around this vibrant community and discover a thriving urban neighbourhood. You'll find independent retailers tucked into historic buildings, chic cafés nestled within innovative high-rises, arts, entertainment and an energetic nightlife. Come see the rich history in which Victoria Park is deeply rooted; the urban setting that fosters business, residents and visitors.
Named in honour of Queen Victoria, Victoria Park was born in the early 20th century, making the area one of Calgary’s oldest communities. As such, the buildings throughout Victoria Park are alive with a history that has been incorporated into the urban feel the community boasts today.
Discover the Warehouse District, or walk down Eleventh Avenue and allow yourself to get lost in time as you imagine the Canadian Pacific Railway pass through passageways that are still standing today.
Walk south along Macleod Trail to indulge in the rich treasures of Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut, the French L’Epicerie and the Belgian patisserie Manuel Latruwe. Afterwards, drop by Sunterra and head towards Hotel Arts to grab a drink at Raw Bar and check out the diverse collection of art that adorns the walls of the lobby and corridors.
Take a look at Formans on First Street and Twelfth Avenue: The historic building in which it resides was Calgary’s first bank. Have a look inside and you can see that the original vault doors are still intact.
The Drum & Monkey, St. James Corner are great places to relax after a day in Victoria Park. But don’t stop there; there are still more great places to unwind! Rid yourself of the days stress at The Hot Yoga Lounge, or drop by the Beltline Fitness Centre for a swim.
